We went and saw Oliver Stone's "W" yesterday. If you're expecting a hatchet-job you'll be disappointed. It wasn't. In fact, it was surprisingly, shall we say, sympathetic to Dubya.

You walk out of the movie with mixed emotions. At least I did.

Dubya's a screwup, Jeb's the golden boy. Dubya's always disappointing Mom and Dad, Jeb always makes them proud. Jeb graduated Phi Betta Kappa. Dubya's lucky he graduated with a "C" average. Dubya will do anything to see the same look of pride on Dad's face Dad has when talking about Jeb.

If the fact their family drama hadn't so impacted so many lives I could muster sympathy for Dubya. Having grown up with a similar family dynamic, (you can't have five brothers and not) I could relate - even sympathize.

Josh Brolin was really good as Dubya. Richard Dreyfuss was Cheney!
