Hey John can you post your famous crumb cake recipe? I had it from a year ago and it was outstanding and easy to make!

I've made that crumbcake a dozen times now and it has the potential to put Entemanns outta business!

I have the recipe but I'm sworn to secrecy.

So did I Elaine. So here it is - (I figured I owe ya) - am I forgiven? Roll Eyes

P.S. It's actually Phyllis Lebrio's cake by the way. Credit where it's due you know.  Wink Anyway, I have a feeling the only effort here on John's part is not to eat the whole thing!  Grin

The Best Crumb Cake Ever!!!

Use Pam or Crisco to grease pan. Jellyroll pan measures 15.5 inches x 1.25 inches. My pan is a wherever Air Bake pan. Bought in any store, Walmart, Target, etc.

Cake Mixture

1 box yellow cake mix
1 box of any brand vanilla instant pudding mix
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla

Beat all ingredients above for 3 to 4 minutes.

Bake 350 degrees approx 25 min.-until cake is almost done.

Make sure cake is not too soft or crumb mixture will fall into cake.
Take cake out of oven and using your fingers place crumb mixture all over cake-put back in oven with crumbs for approx. 10-15 minutes.

Take out of oven-Let cool on rack-when cool-put confectionary sugar on top.

Crumb Mixture
(make crumbs while cake mix is in oven)

4 cups flour
4 sticks of butter, margarine, or any combination you want.
(I used 1 stick salted butter, 1 stick margarine, 2 sticks of sweet unsalted butter.)
1 1/3 cups sugar
3 tsp. vanilla
3 tsp. cinnamon

While cake is baking;
Take softened butter or margarine, DO NOT MICROWAVE.
Add all other ingredients; work mixture to form crumbs, then with fingers make crumbs and put on entire cake;
place cake back in oven for 10-15 minutes-when cooled put confectioners (powdered) sugar on top. ENJOY! Cake taste best when you make it the day before you want it.
