Joe,

A 75' x 100' is not landscaper material unless you have 30 mature Oak trees crammed in there.  You'll pay a lot more for a landscaper to come in and do that job.

Why not grab a neighborhood kid and make him happy?  Or a college kid home for the holidays?  Or one of the the "1 in 6 folks out of work"?  I'm sure they would all love a few extra bucks in their pockets  - especially with the holidays approaching.

All my trees are bare now.  I have one Oak that still has about a bagful of leaves hanging on it's branches.  That tree is stubborn and I bet those leaves will still be there in January.

Have all the leaves fallen?  If your trees are done you should get started now while the leaves are light and easily moved.  Especially since you can get them to the curb and let the town haul them away.   If you wait until spring they will be wet and heavy and cost you twice as much to move them.   You will also have to bag them in the spring and that costs more too.

Be a hero - hire a neighbor.

Good luck.

Consider getting together with your neighbors and negotiating with a landscaping company to do several yards on the same day for a reduced fee. I've heard of people doing this with tree services.
