If you like ethnic cooking of different kinds you must try this new addition to the area's eateries. It is located in that teeny, tiny little strip mall just before the jug at Georgia Tavern Road (south side of Route 9).

Don't think 'cause you eat Chinese food it's the same only different.  Shocked (What'd she say?  Wink)

Let me explain. To me, most Chinese food - no matter what you order from the menu - tastes the same, basically. The only notable exception around here is the Peking Pavilion on Route 33 in Manalapan.

Now Vietnamese cuisine is notably not the same as Chinese no matter who's cooking it. There is a vast difference in the tastes and textures and Little Saigon has it going on both in quality of food and one of the cleanest eating establishments I've ever sat in anywhere.

Try it out. I think it will be a delightful surprise.

Enjoy!

Thanks Kathy - I will try it!

I wish they had a menu online - I did find others that shared your enthusiasm for the place here:

My friend and I tried it for lunch today - We bought 2 lunch Baguettes and split them between us so we could try them both - we had the Shredded chicken Baguett and the Vietnamese Meatball Baguette.  The food was very mild, not spicey but loaded with very fresh Cilantro which was yummy.  The owner put a couple of slices of jalapeno(?) pepper on the side because he didn't know if we liked hot - the pepper was crisp and mild, no heat so perhaps it wasn't a jalepeno.  They did say they have some little peppers that are like fire - I'd like a happy medium.
Lemonade was very sweet, (we loved it but it's not for everyone) we chose cold but they have hot as well.  They have a salted variety too  Next time we'll try a Smoothie.  (I'll have to look up Durian - don't know what flavor that is.)

Evening menu looks quite interesting.  The owner says that if there's something you don't like in the mix, they will be happy to prepare to order.

Wen to lunch today @ Little Saigon, excellent meal.  Noodles with egg roll and meatball pork roll. A very large portion for $8.00. It's 9:00 PM now and I'm still full from a 1:00 lunch.
They now have a website.

A nice change from the ordinary, a Mother and Daughter business.
