KEARNY, N.J. (1010 WINS)  -- Eight months ago, James Gandolfini of "The Sopranos'' drove his SUV out the parking lot of Satriale's for the last time, as the show went off the air.

Now, the Satriale's building in Kearny is also gone.

The fictional pork store, which on TV had a life-sized pig on top of it, has been demolished.

Satriale's was a hangout spot for the television mobsters.

The property's owner plans to build nine condo units on the property. The project will be called ``The Soprano.'' Prices will range from $325,000 to $385,000.

Nine condo units and it will be called the "Soprano" HOW DUMB!

Most of the HBO series was shot at a New York sound stage.

But many scenes were filmed in New Jersey including several in Kearny

If the name is supposed to be a good marketing move I think they missed by a few years.  :-/

That's when that show had the feel of... Good Fellas.  After that season the show slipped more and more.....   Great scene though Smiley

I think you are right, Ray. It later got more into the touchy-feely soap opera kind of stuff. I notice that I enjoy the early reruns more than the newer ones.

Do you ever think of that scene before you bite into a sausage?

Mad TV did a great job with it.  That show was funny and they had the characters and their looks down pat.  I still have no clue why they pulled that show.
