It didn't show Alaska at its best so it missed the boat as a travel show.

She might have found her niche with a reality show. It seems to be right up her ally. But for a rugged, self-proclaimed, outdoors, backwoods, pioneer type woman she seemed pretty uncomfortable and clumsy on the snow, in the boat, and rock climbing.

The family scenes with the kids reminded me of Growing Up Gotti, just less believable.

Why does she talk in that in that faux down-home county way? No one else in the show talks like her -- including her own family. Is this supposed to make her seem more mainstream so she fits in with what other Americans sound like? Or is she mocking us?

And what's with the paranoia about the next door neighbor who is writing a book on her? They had to out up a higher fence so he can't spy on them. Just close the blinds, Sarah!

Could care less about the show - maybe one night I'll be flipping when nothings on and give it a few minutes.  As far as the reporter neighbor - I think anyone would have done the samething she did.  Not a fan of hers - can't say I hate her but I also can't say I like her.  She is more a cheerleader then a "leader".

You gotta give the devil his, er, her, due. She could teach Machiavelli a thing or two.

You all do realize she has figured out a way to get paid to run for President? That's what this "reality" show "Palin's Alaska" really means. She not only gets to fill her war chest with real money she gets the exposure to Mr. and Mrs. John Q Public who will watch and begin to convince themselves they now "know her."

And, she will not only get paid for her weekly "exposure" on the reality show, she will also be paid to lie on FOX Noise as a "commentator." So she is not only in the Cat-Bird Seat when it comes to picking off her political enemies - she's worked it so she can make lots of money from lots of bullshit. This chick knows how to grab with both hands and hold on.

Just think. If she were as genuinely bright as she is brassy, we really might have had something.

Looks like I may have spoke too soon. Seems as though to "know her" is to not like her.  Roll Eyes

Apparently the older audience stayed tuned in to her show. I got that figured out. They fell asleep.

One of the people commenting about that article asked "Why is everyone so afraid of Sarah Palin?" That must be the official GOP spin. I've heard it before.  Instead of laughing at her we are now expressing "fear?" A person who can generate fear in the opposition makes a better candidate than one that has them rolling on the floor laughing.

Sarah may be in the catbird seat, but who put her there and who's pulling the strings? I smell Cheney and his crew. I doubt if she did anything except say "okey dokey" to whoever proposed the plan to her.

In future episodes did they tone down the phony accent and expressions that no one else on the show, including her family, shares? They will probably find a replacement for her almost son-in-law.

I really hope the show works out and is so successful she won't want to give it up for anther run at office.
