Steve,

Now I know why you were like a kid on Christmas morning. Your anticipation to listen to it was palpable but this is great now that it's up for EVERYONE to hear since it appears DiBella is again beating the drum to be Freeholder. If people vote for him after this then, like I said before, people get the government they deserve.

For dessert,    Wink,  I am going to post the original email that perpetrated the entire lie and ensuing investigation.

Your friend in truth,

KB
=================================================

From: Joseph DiBella

   To:  xxxWalsh@xxx.com

 Date: Sun, 22 Jan 2006 15:07:30 -0500

Dear Mr. Walsh,

I just got a very disturbing phone call from a Howell police officer
who insisted they remain nameless. They contend that you are working
behind the scenes to get officers to hand out the recall petition
along with another politically connected female resident who professes
to have great influence with the police. This officer tells me
your direction and through the ranks to the officers is to get it
signed while they are on the beat in town. This person claims to be
going for an internal investigation about it but was getting heat that
that could be an issue for them. They contend that this is the talk of
the department and that you are involved and I need to watch my back.
The person said they tried to get as many officers to hand out the
RAFT petition on the job as well but only a few did and that many are
unhappy over this latest request and have refused.

I just listened and thanked the person. I know you have said if you
wanted to take me on you would come right at me which I respect. So, I
wanted to pass this along to you. I'll call Mr. Davis tomorrow and
make him aware without disclosing the name of the person but I wanted
to make you aware that this was brought to my attention. I'll let Mr.
Davis decide what to do next in terms of discussing with the chief.
His call and I am not asking for anything. I just feel he needs to be
aware. This is all just political and it is apparent every day.
Thanks.

======================================================

P.S. Am I the only one that recalls on multiple occasions at the TC meetings DiBella would tell people with complaints that he is NOT ALLOWED under the Faulkner Act form of government to deal with township employees. That ACCORDING TO THE LAW, they had to take matters of concern up with the township manager.

P.S.

For anyone  Roll Eyes who wants to posit that the cassette-recorded conversation between Mayor Dissembler and myself is "edited," is welcome to have any official, certified agency check the cassette for "editing." In fact, if it is allowed, I would welcome a polygraph by the police department. I'd even let hizzoner pick the officer that would administer it. Hey, he could get that buddy cop of his to do it. You know, the one that called to warn him about the conspiracy. Oh, that's right, there was no cop that called him.  Grin

Although ANYONE listening to it doesn't need a degree in Audiology to be able to discern there are no stops, halts or glitches of any kind in the presented recording - that it is clearly evident there is no "doctoring" of any kind. Not to mention that it is common knowledge that I'm lucky I know how to turn electronic equipment on and press play.   Grin

Someone put some eggs and bacon on the table to remind DiBella he's toast.

The funny thing is, we didn't even have petitions at that point. If some people had read the state law on the recall process (I sure did), they would have known that the petitions must be approved by the town clerk within something like 60 days of the filing of the Intent. The petitions weren't filed until February 27th, more than a month after the email incident.
Howell clerk certifies petition for recall effort | tritown.gmnews.com | Tri-Town News

Now, even if such a phone call was received from a police officer, a well-informed public official would have known that no petitions existed, and might have viewed the call with some suspicion. He probably wouldn't have relayed the conversation to anyone except the manager or even the police for further investigation. The story might have gotten a small item on page one, but it wouldn't have made much of an impact.

However, it appears here that the most likely explanation for the actions during this time is that panic set in, and the first response was to attempt to drag someone else down, preferably a potential mayoral opponent, with accusations of involving the police department in the recall process, so as to taint him and the recall itself. In other words, the same old political games.

The three of us had our slightly differing reasons for a change in government at that time. So did most of the people signing the petitions. That's why we opted to omit the reasons on the recall itself. Let the people decide on the issue without our influence.

Unfortunately I have come to find that changing the puppets doesn't change the masters. Obviously the out of town developers are still in control(and the people aren't), as witnessed by the sweetheart deals given to developers over the last couple of years.

Joe, surely you don't expect anyone to believe anything in the newspaper do you? Grin

Well, liars tend to think everybody else is lying too, Steve.

So no, I wouldn't expect everybody to believe it, nor believe that I was the one who submitted the petition for approval, and I received a certified letter that it had been approved. That's just all fairy tales!  Cheesy

Some people have a hard time believing the truth, especially when it's bad news for them.

According to Lonesome George, "nobody cares what happened yesterday."

Maybe that's why "Howellabama" is so screwed up today. Here in Freehold Township the snow is practically gone. Cross the street into Howell and people still can't park their cars on the street because of a snow storm that happened what, 10 days (give or take) ago. Another one's on the way. I guess "nobody cares" that at this rate, Howell's going to look like the Arctic.

Let's look elsewhere. Instead of putting a hold on development you had a mayor who gave his "political patrones" "memos of understanding" that allowed them to increase development at the egg farm from 7 residences to how many hundred now?

I could go on and on but I'll just paraphrase Santayana (Google him, I ain't talking about Carlos the guitar player  Grin): "Those who don't care about yesterday's mistakes will repeat them today and tomorrow."

Ya know George, I've been trying to alert people about what's coming in the future, and you were one of the people that ignored me. You seem to think that growth can continue indefinitely without any consequences. But George, look around you. Unemployment, recession, deflating housing prices, foreclosures and the homeless are all consequences of unrestrained growth.

Yet I'm sure you think "Once we get back to vigorous economic growth, everything will be fine".

Good luck with that...

Now Joey “the Liar” Di Bella once again is trying to blackmail me by revealing a 20 year old lawsuit against a former employer.  I tied them up in court for over 5 years and may do that to Joey shortly.  Joey tried to get political points by bringing this out when I ran for Freeholder and the newspaper found the issue laughable.

For the record I received over 100,000 votes in that election and Joey “the Liar” Di Bella criticizes me for running; he hasn't received 100,000 votes if you add up his grammar school run for class clown up to and including his run for mayor against a total unknown entity with no funds.  He then gave a copy of the lawsuit to my opponent in the senate race and it backfired when I asked the senator if that was the reason Joey “the Liar” Di Bella is on the 30th district payroll...to provide him with old lawsuits while padding  his pension at taxpayer expense.

What you might find more sexy is the lawsuit Joey is named  in with his girlfriend's divorce proceedings.  My lawsuit didn't break-up a family or have me cheating on or embarrassing my family.

And as far as missing windows, he has yet to post any article that in anyway ties me to this illusion and lie he has created.  And Mr. Gude, before you get yourself tied up in a lawsuit about a missing playground  you better re-read the article.

I find it interesting that for a man who sells insurance to school districts that Mr. Joseph M. DiBella is constantly attacking the school district I work for.

Mr. Gude for your information, I made a few statements about the town council wasting our tax dollars on a new town hall  at a town meeting and the next thing I know Joey “the Liar” Di Bella  appears at another meeting trying to ruin my reputation, I never mentioned his name, so get your story together.

Listen to the audio proof of his antics and lies...it speaks for itself very loud and clear.

Silly season is in full gear again with Joey trying to run for Freeholder. Roll Eyes

Three great quotes. Can anyone guess where they originated from?

1."If you tell a big enough lie and tell it frequently enough, it will be believed."

2."It is not truth that matters, but victory.".....................This should be his slogan

3."Make the lie big, make it simple, keep saying it, and eventually they will believe it."

Someone's been taking lessons for a long time.......

BTW.... The recording is priceless. This guy can DANCE !!!! Enter him into the Olympics. Should be played on 101.5 over and over and over again  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Hey Joe, how come you never respond to my points?

I want your opinion based on your actions during that time. Were you acting like a reasonable man who finds the facts and reacts accordingly, or were you acting like a politician who seeks to drag others down with them?

For once, answer a direct question with a direct answer.

Inquiring minds want to know...

But I bet they won't be satisfied by your answer or more likely, non-answer.

Seventeenth Chapter

A Sunday school teacher was giving her class the assignment for the next week.

"Next Sunday," she said, "we are going to talk about liars, and in preparation for our lesson I want you all to read the Seventeenth Chapter of Mark."

The following week, at the beginning of the class meeting, the teacher said, "Now then, all of you who have prepared for the lesson by reading the Seventeenth Chapter of Mark, please step to the front of the room."

About half the class rose, including Joey and came forward.

"The rest of you may leave," said the teacher, "these students are the ones I want to talk to. There is no Seventeenth Chapter in the Book of Mark." ____________________________________

Every once in a while, the CD of "the interview" needs to be "refreshed."  When this round is completed I will let everyone know the one-hit wonder is back up for air play.  Wink
