Drivers please be aware there are many more motorcycle riders, bike riders, teenage drivers and people walking around than ever before.  I can not understand why some can not wait an extra 15 seconds when they do NOT have the right of way.

great observation!  I agree.  The other thing that really annoys me are the packs of bikers that feel it's ok to take the entire lane up!  Please stayo out of the car lane and in your bike lane unless of course there arent't any then stay SINGLE FILE.  And those that walk in the street when there are perfectly good sidewalks...get out of the street, the sidewalks are there for a reason

Often the flocks of bikes that we see are not local people but groups or clubs from north jersey and other areas. They have the right to be on the road but not to obstruct it. Unlike other slower moving traffic (horses, tractors, pedestrians) they make no attempt to allow faster moving vehicles to pass them.

They are not only a danger to themselves but to the rest of us.

I find their attitude as stupid as those sailors who cut in front of the Exxon tanker or a container ship because they have "the right of way." Or because sail boats were here before powered vessels. What's the point? So they can have "I had the right of way" on their tombstones?

The town should require large groups of bikers (skaters, horses, dog walkers ) to apply for a parade permit and to mark the route they will be taking. Perhaps they should also have to pay for a police escort as parades do. More income for Howell.

Pehaps a license or permit should be necessary for every wheeled vehicle using the road. And a test showing that they can control their wheels. I was forced into the other lane just this morning when one of two bikers swerved suddenly into the middle of the lane. That forced me to swerve into the oppiste lane. Lucky that a car wasn't coming.
