I'm a "Legal American Citizen", and I must show my ID, when:

 1.  Pulled over by the police.

 2.  Making purchases on my department store credit card.

 3.  When I show up for a doctor's appointment.

 4.  When filling out a credit card or loan application.

 5.  When applying for or renewing a driver's license or passport.

 6.  When applying for any kind of insurance.

 7.  When filling out college applications.

 8.  When donating blood.

 9.  When obtaining certain prescription drugs.

10.  When making some debit purchases, especially
        if I'm out of state.

11. When collecting a boarding pass for airline or train travel.

I'm sure there are more instances, but the point is, that we citizens of the USA, are required to prove who we are nearly every day!

So, why should people in this country illegally, be exempt!!!!!   (NO ONE, SHOULD BE EXEMPT)

Why shouldn't we guard our borders as closely as every other country in the world does?

You're preaching to the choir here Jim.

Send that email down to the pinheads in Washington who want to stop the Arizona immigration bill.  Instead of stopping it, why don't they ask what can be done to assist?  Or pass similar legislation in other border states?  Or at least slow the influx with the national guard while they sit on their hands and decide what to do!

Try to cross into Mexico and see if they have the same "WELCOME" sign hung up on their side?  See if they'll offer you benefits, social security, medical assistance, food stamps, jobs, etc.  Will they allow you to stay forever if your wife breaks water on the southern side of the border and has her baby in Mexico?   And see if they allow you to roam free without ever needing to present an ID.  Something tells me their laws are much more sensible than ours and tehy don't allow any of this.

I guess the lost votes are worth more to them than solving this problem crisis.

I just want to know when the Federal Gov. will realize that the AZ law just enforces the Federal law.  I actually have a question - when an illegal immigrant is pulled over for committing a traffic violation, are they reported to ICE or is that only for indictable offenses. - By the way excuse my spelling this am - brain is still not working but I have to up and at work.

Dudes, this isn't about votes. Votes can be bought. And really, voting hardly changes a thing. Obama's promises are toast, he's Bush III. The powers that be own both parties anyway. This is about the elite's desire for globalization, one facet of which is free movement of labor across national borders. The media and politicians are constantly stating that "these people" do the work Americans won't do. They keep forgetting the second part of that "at these crappy wages".

I mean really, this illegal immigration from Mexico thing has been going on for at least 30 years, and what has either party done about it?

Nothing...

In a country where the overwhelming majority wants something done about it, what does the fact that neither party has done a thing about this problem say to you?

James - You know it - I've done every year for the past 8 to 10 years - Even when it hurts because I like the person in office.  Actually I'm sorry I lied during that time there was one person that I voted for because it was only a second term - when they ran for their third term, however, I voted against them.

You might GRIP, but all you're doing is putting people in who are backed by the same money as the incumbents. For example, go to http://opensecrets.org and look up Obama and Bush top campaign contributors. Do you see much of a difference?

Joe - I agree with you 100% - I get so annoyed when I hear Fox News mention how much BP contributed to Obama and the Dems. yet they fail to mention that they also contributed the same amounts to Rep. candidates - then you go the MSNBC and they tell you the opposite story.  I did my reseach and found that basically the oil industry contributes equally to both parties.
However, I think it will still take about another 10 to 12 years before the country is ready to embrace an ind. President.  I keep saying that the Obama adminstration maybe the best thing for the rise of an Ind. Canidate.  In my opinion he is more Socialist then Dem. and many die hard Dem. (I am talking people who 10 years ago would have voted for Adolf Hitler - or any other idiot - that had the label Dem.) that now feel that with Obama and Peliouse (sorry about the spelling in a rush) the Dem. is taking a wrong turn.  The Rep. Party on the other hand rather then taking a few steps towards Lib. thinking are working too hard to be far left.
I truely wish this country would get rid of Political Party Names and just have the candidates run for what they believe (We know that will never happen because that will mean that they will have to take a stand on their own).
