I would just like to compliment Suzanne and Jeanette for thier informing the public on very important issues. They are new Board members, and are performing like seasoned BOE members. Tim also includes informing the public, and he is only a second year member.

Al, you are correct! I read that part incorrectly. It's good to have the public on top of these issues.

Phil, not a BOE member, but a dedicated township resident, who should have been on the BOE years ago. It's great to see Phil involved again.

Respectfully,

Gene

According to the president of the 3-2 Sports they provide the lowest cost for the program by $45,000. Can someone clarify this information. There seems to be much miss information in the local papers about this topic. As well as what was stated at the Board meeting on Wednesday.

geez I forgot you Jamie. Pat, Tom, Jack, Ginger, and all you folks.

Jamie:

3-2-sports did not include in thier RFP the fingerprinting cost. Additionally, they were going to hire high school and/or college students to run the clubs, student council, etc.   These two points were of concern for me as a resident.

High School and College Students are what PAL uses for B/C and A/C know. Why is that ok? And what makes this different?

3-2 Sport reported it was their intent to finger print it just was not clear in their proposal. I understand that is their responsablity however it just plays to the fact that this whole proposal is just rushed.

Jeanette,

I do not have a copy of either RFP so I can only go on what was said at the meeting and what followed in print.

Jamie,
Your point is well taken and that is exactly the reason I requested more time to review the RFP and bids. Many appeals have been won because contracts were not staffed properly. I do not see this being appealed other than the complaint the Union has. This is for the BOE and Union to iron out. I hope that in the end the taxpayers do not have to foot the bill to compensate for looses that were suppose to be paid in the bargaining agreement. If that takes place this whole exercise may prove to be a lesson in futility. In the future I hope the BOE and Administration will not ask committees to review
this type of information unless they are are going to give them ample time to perform a proper view. If the intent was to have the Shared Services review this as a courtesy that I cannot accept. When I perform a review of a contract where taxpayer dollars may be expended I need the proper amount of time before offering my comment even though I m only a volunteer. I understand the need to have this fast tracked in order to have the programs set up in time for school, however you know what happens when a person speeds they either get a ticket or get in a accident.  I would of held off a little longer and would of even waited this year out in order to have it done properly. It's time to move on. The contract was awarded and the programs need to be implemented.  At the end of the day if this proves to be cost favorable and not diminish the quality of the sports programs than its a win, win.

                                                                             my opinion
                                                                            God Bless
                                                                            Phil

No problem, everyone can miss things. I just didn't know if I had miss something. Thank you for clearing it up.

Thank you also to you, Jeanette,  Suzanne & Tim for posting on here and keeping us updated and informed on BOE issues.
