Yesterday we stopped at a roadside shack somewhere around Manaloking that had great fresh seafood freshly caught and prepared. Super blue claws (crabs -- not ballplayers) great steamers, cherry stones, and a ton of fresh fish cooked to your preference and eaten on crude picnic tables outside or sold by the pound to takr home and cook.

We stumbled on the place when we picked up some Craig's List windows for my daughter's house. Neither of us can remember the name (Crab something or other) or the road it was on. Lots of sea grass, crushed shell parking lot, white sand overtaking the two lane road...

Does this place ring a bell with anyone out there? It's worth the trip back again and again!

Thanks Ginger - now I'm hungry: want to try it & will probably never find it.  How far from 36 was it?  Was it north or south of Manaloking?  I know we stopped somewhere around there a few weeks ago but it didn't have outside seating.  We saw the prices to eat inside - then decided to do take-out and found somewhere by the bay to eat.  These are the best places for seafood.

Manaloking Road sounds familiar... My husband thinks it was in Brick. I think the name had crabs in it.

We drove around so much looking for the windows that I lost all sense of direction.

Jackie, the outdoor tables were sort of hidden by high sea grass and shrubs so it would be easy to miss. It might have been the same place.
